Stampin' Sisters In Christ #23

Our Stampin Sisters In Christ challenge this week is set by Peggysue and she chose this verse.

"For you have been born again, not of perishable seed,
but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God."
1 Peter 1:23 (NIV)

Her challenge is, since most seeds come up as tiny green shoots, use the color green somewhere in your creation, not all over green, just a touch somewhere.
I chose this image I had had since Christmas and have not used yet to work with. When I think of seeds I think of the beautiful things that come from them like flowers, and this allowed me to use just a "touch" of green.

God Is Faithful!

Now it has been a over week since I last posted and I know many are you are wondering what is up because I was going to try and post more often here.
Well we had some chaos happen with my daughters graduation from Tech school. She was supposed to graduate the 19th of this month so we had planned to go down on the 15th so we could spend the holiday weekend with her and attend her graduation on Tuesday and head back home as she headed to Germany. The military moved her graduation up to Friday the 15th. We did not find this out until the night of the 13th so we had to hurry, pack up and leave. My hubby was out of town so we did not get there until 3:15am Friday morning and then had to get up at 6:00 to get ready to go to her graduation at 8:00.
She was scared that she was going to be shipped out to Germany as soon as she graduated that Friday night or Saturday morning. We immediately started praying and God was faithful and allowed us to spend the entire weekend together, She is now in Germany and I am back home so get ready for some posts. Thanks to those of you who knew my situation and said a prayer.

Stampin' Sisters In Christ #21

Good Sunday Morning!
This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad it it. This weeks Stampin' Sisters In Christ challenge is hosted by Pamela and she choose this beautiful verse of scripture.

"Come, let us return to the Lord.
He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us;
he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds."
Hosea 6:1
What a beautiful verse and wonderful promise! God is always close to the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18.
Pamela challenges us to make the broken look beautiful...create a Mosaic, tear apart and stitch back together, or use the cracked glass technique. In some way have your image look broken.
I love how beautiful the Cracked Glass technique turns out. It makes my image beautiful even though it is broken. The stamp set I used is a new release from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps March Daffodil.

Scripture Challenge 2010

Patter Cross at Triple the Scraps is hosting another scripture challenge this year. She hosted one in 2008 and I wanted to participate and never did. Every other week she will give a Word on Sunday for us to search the scriptures on how it speaks to us and make a 6x6 page using 2 of them. I could only fit one on my page because of putting the definition of Hope. I have also journaled on the back several other verses reflecting Hope.

Week 1 is HOPE
this was taken from her blog
"As Christians, we have hope in Christ. We have hope in the resurrection. What are you hoping for? Are you hoping for a better 2010 than a 2009? Maybe you had some difficult trials last year? Maybe you even felt hopeless at times, or maybe even today you are weary and you feel like you have no where to turn. Well, I am here to tell you that just as God has provided for you in the past, He will do the same today and in the year to come. Look back at those trials. Can you see His provision and blessings? You can trust that He is able and He will provide. God is our hope for the future and in all situations. Are you looking to Him or focusing on the difficulty?"

For my 6x6 page I used the Blue hill papers from Crete paper and a Plain Jane stamp from Verve.

Stampin Sisters In Christ

Good Afternoon and Happy New Year!
I thought I would start sharing my DT post here as well this year, for Stampin' Sisters In Christ in case any of my readers did not know there was a site just for christian stampers to make challenge cards.

Laurie is our hostess this week and her challenge this week is all about "new" and how cool is it that God guided Laurie to choose 2 Corinthians 5:17 for our challenge.
2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
Isn't that encouraging to know that we are a new creation when we accept Christ that He throws our old habit and sins as far as the east is from the west. We do not have to change to become a christian but the moment we accept Christ we are changed we become a New creation. From that point on we are living for eternity.
The challenge is to make a baby or a new christian card or project. I choose to do a baby card since i have a friend who is going to have a granddaughter soon.
Our sponsor this week is Sew Many Cards and the DT was given some images to use. I used Jaden Baby Carriage for my shaped card.

Happy New Year!

Good morning, as I logged in to this blog today, I immediately became convicted. If you were to look at it, it seems God has not been working in my life since last March.
God has blessed me tremendously this past year, I had the tumor removed from my back and it came back fine, no cancer. It has taken quite some time to recover and some days are still not good but I remain cancer free for another year! Praise God.
If you had read my blog you would have seen where my husbands job was in jeopardy with the economy. Even though he is now on the road instead of in house, God has provided him a job and has met our needs for 2009 and will continue to do so as He promises in Philippians 4:19.
I am not one for new years resolutions anymore due to the fact of always breaking them. This year I am going to pray about what I wish to do in the new year and journal how God has helped me meet that desire. I am not promising to make a daily entry here but it is my desire to post at least weekly how God has blessed my life.
here are some of my prayers for the New Year
My prayer is to become closer than I have ever been to God and so like Christ that when others see me they want the joy that I have and I can be a witness.
I have a little group that I send a verse to daily and I have been slacking in that too and I pray that I would be faithful in doing that. if satan cant have us he will sure make us busy. I admit I have been to busy to allow God to use me like He wants. My prayer is that I become in tune with his good and perfect will for my life. I want to see and love people as God does.

Father,
I thank you for all you have done in my life through 2009 and I look forward to what you are going to do in 2010. I pray that you would guide me to do Your will for my life and give me the desires of my heart. I love you so much and in the name if Jesus I ask these things
Amen
